Hi, I’m Andreas 👋 — a human with a few side projects, working mainly in IT / information security.

I thought a lot about our drifting society and that more and more people stay in their own circle and does not realize how life can be for others. You may know the Washington Post’s line, Democracy Dies in Darkness. I think it's also an issue today that we don't have enough opportunities to have a casual talk to completely other people to widen our own horizon.

I started Minga Circle because I believe that meeting people beyond our usual circles makes life more interesting, surprising, and human. I would love to widen the circle for others and create more understanding in a world that too often feels divided.

I’ve often felt that existing social apps are too focused on dating, too superficial, or too complicated. Minga Circle is different: it’s simple, anonymous, and designed for short real-life moments with a few other people. And I think the most beautiful part is: You can forget it. I don't want another app which distracts you from life. Just set it up once. And sometimes it can present you opportunities. You won't be able to accept them each time, but sometimes you will – and maybe find fascinating people.
